VELLIPPARA: In a shocking tragedy that has shaken the Malayalam film industry, popular actor Lokesh passed away early this morning after being caught in a massive landslide at the shooting location of his new film Swapnamo.
The incident occurred around 5:30 AM near the misty hills of Vellippara, where the crew had been camping for the final schedule of the movie. Initial reports suggest that heavy rains over the last 48 hours triggered the sudden mudslip, engulfing a portion of the resort where the cast and crew were staying.
Lokesh, who shot to fame with the critically acclaimed Algorithm, was reportedly helping local villagers move to safety during the heavy downpour when the tragedy struck. "It happened in seconds. We heard a loud roar like thunder, and before we could react, the earth just collapsed," said a production controller who narrowly escaped.
"Lokesh was a gem of a person. We were just discussing the climax scene last night. I can't believe he is gone."
